Another ATC Swap Done

I completed my 3rd card in the 4-Letter Word swap on ATCards.com. The word is WINK. I made an extra for the hostess...and of course, one for me. :-)

Another Monday

Another Monday has passed. I was pretty busy with work today, but I did get my Creepy Carnival cards back from that swap. Here they are:

I also was able to create 2 of the 3 cards for my 4-Letter Word swap...Zuni and Hike. Here they are:

4x4 Geocaching

I took out the new Jeep for a little 4-wheeling while Geocaching. I had a great time, despite ending up with a tire off the ground...D#$%, we're in a tight spot!

I joined another swap on ATCards.com. This one is Paranormal Phenomena. I picked ghosts, Atlantis and aliens (in honor of my artist friend, Jill Tristram).

I also got my cards back from the Clowns Swap...pretty cool!

Witchy Halloween

I finished my ATCs for the Witchy Halloween swap on ATCards.com. This was pretty fun. The witch is hand drawn and colored with pencil. The moons are cut out of yellow origami paper and the little witches are punched...as well as the cat on the fence (which is hand drawn). The other graphics are stamped and embossed. The capes on all are black t-shirt fabric and the backgrounds are watercolored. Oh, and the buttons are seed beads.

In addition to that I made a dragonfly dangle for the mirror of my NEW BLACK JEEP!! No pictures yet, but I love it! I've named her Black Dahlia and already took out the back seat and dog proofed everything with carpet and seat covers (with dog prints). I even made a cover for the center console out of black vinyl material. I'll post pictures when I finally take some.

TGIF

Well, another Friday. I didn't do much scrapping this week, but I did finish a journal card for the theme, "What would you like to learn".

A group of us went to the ridge that overlooks Colorado Springs to watch the meteor shower...not much of a shower, but the night view of the Springs was cool.

My First ATCards Swap!

I just got the cards back from the Protect & Serve ATC Swap. This is the first swap I did on ATCards.com. They are great!

I also created this altered playing card for the theme, "Nature" from the Art Journal Challenge.

I'm Back!

I've been out of town on business and catching up on my hiking lately. I had to go to Cleveland, TN for a project, but took some time to do some Geocaching with my co-workers. We found a virtual cache in the center of town that is a mausoleum build for a young girl in the 1800s who died when her grandfather lost control of his carriage and it went in front of a train. The legend says that the red in the stone on the right side of the door is blood from all the suffering at her death! Creepy, but interesting...
After I got back from that trip, I decided (or should I say my dog, Wiley, decided) it was time to take a day hike. I did some Geocaching along the way to the ridge south of Blodgett Peak that overlooks Colorado Springs.
One of the travel bugs I picked up at a cache was a "Book of Heroes"...a little notebook for people to write down who there heroes are...well, I couldn't just write something...I had to craft something. I did it all digitally to avoid the bulk of embellishments, but here they are:
