Mostly Mosaic

I haven't been doing many ATCs lately...which is sad because I really enjoy them. Anyway, this is the latest swap I'm doing on atcsforall. The theme is paper mosaics.

Fun On The 4th

Here are some photos of our 4th of July camping trip to the ridge overlooking Colorado Springs:

Bo and I at the start of the hike

Bo taking a nap with Wiley and Molly.

The view.

A ladybug near a 'nest' of them...they bite!

Bo setting up his Army men.

Mike and John shooting down Bo's Army men.

A rainbow over Garden of the Gods.

Fireworks.

Bo, me, Jill and John ready to pack out the next morning.

A deer in Jill & John's front yard! We didn't see a thing in the wild...

not even on the infrared camera!!

This is a birthday card I made for my brother-in-law, Larry. I used the same shrink plastic idea I did on Ronnie's card.

Happy 4th of July

We'll be going camping for the 4th and watching fireworks from a ridge overlooking the entire city...should be great. All 3 of my brothers, my husband and brother-in-law were all born in July! I started the card making effort. This is a card I made for my brother, Ronnie.
The Happy Birthday and leaves are made of copper polymer clay that was over painted in black and rubbed off to highlight the letters and veins. The deer was copied onto shink plastic, shrunk and colored with alcohol ink (I tried coloring before shrinking with the AI and it didn't really show up after shrinking).
This card is for my brother, Sam...that's him on the card. The leaves and florish are all copper polymer clay that was painted black and then cleaned with water so it didn't get as dark as those on Ronnie's card. The picture is a transfer to polymer clay that I edged with copper leaf. The saying was printed on my Cricut (yea, the one I got at the flea market!). The picture is of Sam on a hike when he visited last year. The funny thing to me about it is that he hates the outdoors...so, I'm sorta sending him a card reminding him of an event he didn't really enjoy. :-
