Altered Rock, Heart&Wings, Hands & Heroes Challenges!

I created an altered rock today that fits 3 challenges...Awfully Big Art Adventure (alter a rock), TGIF (Hands) & Mixed Media Mondays (Hearts & Wings)!   I liked the shape of this rock and it is the perfect size for a paper weight.  I painted the rock with a faux patina kit from DecoArt.  The heart is embossed in craft metal and colored with Cranberry and Gold AI.  The wings are grungeboard that is painted a wine color, crackle medium and then gold.  I wanted more crackling, but this was fine.  I used a Sharpe marker and a gold paint pen to write CREATE (I wanted that graffitti look).  The little hands are punched out of craft metal and colored with Butterscotch AI and the swirls on the palms are done with a Sharpe marker (as is my little signature logo in the bottom corner).

I made this page and ATC some time ago, but they fit the challenge at Mixed Media Monday. The page was created digitally for a Geocaching travel bug called 'Book of Heroes'.  The ATC was created for a swap at ATCsforAll with the theme 'Protect & Serve' and includes my husband, brother, father-in-law, stepfather...and yes, me.
