Memorial Layout and Pottery

I created this two page layout using the pages we created in the Tim Holtz class at Simple Pleasures.  They are in memory of my step father, Al Griffith, who passed away on 23 Sept 10.  I framed them in some simple, black, shadow-box frames, so mom can add little trinkets if she wants.  I stamped his name in the squares of the film strip using Stampin’ Up Collage Alphabet set.

I finally did a low-fire glaze firing!  Poor Chris has been waiting for her pottery from our August Craft Party all this time!  These are the things that I fired.  The mug is for my dad who runs an egg business called Baker’s Dozen.  I like how the glaze looks like an egg shell…at least it does to me.
