Vintage Santa and Pottery Class

Stamps: Santa by Inkadinkado, Real Pine by Hero Arts and Twas the Night Before by Close to My Heart

Inks:  Black Stazon, Aged Mahogany, Pine Needles, Vintage Photo and Tea Dye Distress inks

Cut a 6”x12” piece of red cardstock for the base.  Score at 6” and fold.  Cut a 5.5”x5.5” piece of patterned paper and adhere to the base at an angle.  Stamp Santa onto a 4.5”x4.5” piece of white cardstock in black Stazon.  Using foam dabbers, color in the Santa and tint the background with Distress inks.  Stamp Real Pine with Pine Needles Distress ink.  Distress all edges and highlight with Vintage Photo Distress ink.  Fold over a couple corners and staple with the Tiny Attacher by Tim Holtz.  Wrap red twine around the piece.  Stamp the sentiment onto a piece of white cardstock, cut it out and indent the corners with a circle punch.  Age the piece with Tea Dye Distress ink and adhere to the Santa piece with the Tiny Attacher.  Adhere Santa to the background and you’re done!

This is a Raku vase…I love the clear crackle glaze…and what I’ll call a candy bowl that I threw tonight in class.
