Any Occasion Card

It was a nice day, but really windy, so I decided to enjoy the sun from my studio.  I opened my Tim Holtz Compendium of Curiosities book and picked a Perfect Pearls technique for this card.  I inked the background in Tea Dye and Vintage Photo Distress inks and splattered it with large drops of water from my hand.  The images (by Inkadinkadoo and Stampin’ Up) were inked with Chipped Sapphire Distress ink and covered with gold Perfect Pearls then spritzed with water.  I added the ribbon and buttons as embellishments.

The Year’s First Pottery!!

It is finally warm enough to throw without freezing!!  I threw 2 coffee cups, a dog bowl and a double bowl cat dish.  They still need to dry, bisque fire and glaze fire, but I’m just happy to throw again!

Soap and a Card

Yesterday, we had an impromptu craft day at Kay’s.  Kay makes homemade soap, so she led us thru making a batch of lavender/goat milk soap.  Now, we just need to wait 6-weeks to use it so the lye doesn’t burn our skin off!!

Today, I wanted to spend some time in the studio, so I made this little card.  I used the end of some round foam pieces that were made for a draft block for a door!
